Forza Horizon 6 is finally coming to PS5 in January, and it will launch alongside a major expansion to the game.

A new trailer has confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will race on to PS5 on January 26. It will arrive on the same day and date as the game's first major expansion, though no details have been revealed on what that will look like. As was the case with the Xbox and PC version of the game, players can pre-order the Premium Edition for extra goodies, including five days of early access to the game on PS5. Players who pre-order any version of the game on PS5 will also get a pre-tuned Ferrari J50.

The news of the game's release date comes after rumors that Forza Horizon 6 would miss its initial 2026 release window for PS5. The news confirms that to be the case, but it will launch just in time to remove itself from GTA 6's blast radius. This should ensure it performs well on PS5 and give the game a healthy audience. Forza Horizon 5 was a massive hit on PS5 when it was released on the console last year, so there is a strong demand for its sequel.

IGN gave Forza Horizon 6 a 10/10 in its review, praising it for it dense map, technical achievements, and well-paced campaign.

"I’ll always concede Forza Horizon 3 may forever be my favourite open-world racer, because who doesn’t love driving around their own backyard, but make no mistake: Forza Horizon 6 is unequivocally the best," reads an excerpt from our review. "The new standard in open-world racing is here, and it’s a gundamn masterpiece."
