Blizzard has confirmed the August 2026 World of Warcraft Trading Post under the theme Showdown, a Western-flavored rotation headlined by three mounts and two full gunslinger armor ensembles, with a free transmog set available through the Traveler's Log.

The standout item is the Hateforged Blazecycle at 500 Trader's Tender, a deathcycle motorcycle that was previously locked behind a Mountain Dew promotional tie-in and has never been purchasable in-game until now. For most players this is effectively a first-time acquisition opportunity, and it may not cycle back soon - promo-origin cosmetics appearing on the Trading Post remain uncommon enough to treat as non-recurring.

August 2026 Showdown Catalog

  • Hateforged Blazecycle - 500 Tender; returning former Mountain Dew promo mount, first time available in-game
  • Badlands Buzzard - 550 Tender; brand-new mount this month, a rare white buzzard fitting the Western theme
  • Grandmaster's Royal Board - 700 Tender; returning from August 2025 for anyone who missed it
  • Ensemble: Midnight Outlaw - free; earned by completing the Traveler's Log, a full outlaw transmog set including two head options plus chest, shirt, shoulders, cloak, waist, hands, legs, and feet
  • Ensemble: Badlands Lawbringer - 675 Tender; full gunslinger set
  • Ensemble: Righteous Lawbringer - 675 Tender; full Lawbringer gunslinger set
  • Lawbringer weapons - 200–225 Tender each; axes, daggers, and hand cannons in both Badlands and Righteous variants
  • Ensemble: Grandmaster's Royal Attire - 550 Tender; returning alongside the Grandmaster's Royal weapons (100–175 Tender)
  • Smaller Western pieces - 30–200 Tender; gunslinger lids, shoulder capes, boots, vests, and accessories in Midnight and Snowy colorways

Tender Math and Priority

The monthly income ceiling is 1,000 Tender - 500 automatic from the Collector's Cache plus up to 500 from Traveler's Log completions - and the full Showdown catalog runs several thousand across mounts, sets, and weapons. Players cannot clear it in a single month. The Blazecycle at 500 and the new Badlands Buzzard at 550 together already exceed the monthly cap, so anyone chasing both needs saved Tender from prior months.

The practical order: complete the Traveler's Log first to secure the free Ensemble: Midnight Outlaw, then decide between the Blazecycle and the Buzzard based on saved reserves. The Grandmaster's Royal Board and both Lawbringer ensembles have either returned before or carry a premium price - those are reasonable freeze or defer targets. The Grandmaster's Royal mount and attire have cycled previously and are lower urgency than the promo-origin Blazecycle. Concurrent August content like the Turbulent Timeways V event and Decor Duels rewards in patch 12.1 add competing claims on player time this month, so the freeze mechanic - one item held past the rotation - is worth using on a big-ticket piece if Tender runs short.

September's Trading Post carries the datamined theme Friendship, giving collectors a rough window to plan reserves before the Showdown rotation closes.
