Walmart is offering the best deal right now on an affordable 1080p-capable gaming PC. For a limited time, you can pick up an MSI Codex Z2C RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC for just $999 with free shipping. That's actually the first time I've seen a 5060 Ti equipped prebuilt price under $1,000 since early summer.
MSI Codex Z2C RTX 5060 Ti Gaming PC for $999
The MSI Codex Z2C gaming PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1TB NVMe SSD. The air-cooled AMD Ryzen 7 8700F is a capable 8-core, 16-thread processor with a max boost clock of 5.1GHz. A 650W 80Plus Gold PSU powers the system.
The RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is the best 1080p GPU you'll find in a sub $1K prebuilt PC
The RTX 5060 Ti graphics card is a great GPU for 1080p gaming. It outperforms the RTX 4060 Ti by about 20%, and the gap widens in games that support DLSS 4.5. Note that this model has 8GB of VRAM, which means that although it will play most games at 1440p quite well, it will struggle with more demanding games. If you want to play games like Control: Resonant or The Blood of Dawnwalker at 1440p, then I'd suggest jumping to an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or even an RTX 5070.
