Walmart just launched an excellent deal on a new 2026 gaming monitor that will probably rival anything we will see during Amazon's October Prime Day sale. For a limited time, you can grab the 27" Acer Nitro QD-OLED gaming monitor for just $269 with free shipping. Not only does it use a true OLED panel, it also boasts quantum dot technology and a fast 240Hz refresh rate, which is practically unheard of in a sub-$300 monitor.
27" Acer Nitro 240Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor for $269
The Acer Nitro (VG277U Xbiip) is a recently released 27" QD-OLED monitor with 2560x1440 resolution, which equates to a pixel density of 109ppi. It's sharp enough for both gaming and general workstation use with excellent text clarity. This monitor is equipped with Samsung's quantum dot (QD) OLED panel. A QD OLED panel is brighter and has a wider color gamut than the more commonly found W-OLED panel. OLED monitors in general offer superior image quality compared to other monitors thanks to a combination of instantaneous response time, true black levels, and near-infinite contrast ratio.
Most "budget" OLED monitors have a native 120Hz-165Hz refresh rate, but the Acer Nitro leads the pack witha native 240Hz refresh rate. This makes it an excellent option for first person shooters, sports games, or any other game that involves high-speed motion or requires twitch-like reflexes. You'll need to make sure you have an appropriate graphics card to achieve 240fps on a QHD monitor, ideally something like an RTX 5070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, although an RTX 5070 should be able to hit this target in older games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike, or Valorant. It's not G-Sync validated, but it does support FreeSync, which means it should work in compatibility mode.
Finally, the Acer Nitro includes a 3 year warranty.
