Not everyone wants to pay big bucks for a super high-end TV. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's not even worth it for most people, considering the fact that even the most basic TV nowadays offers good 4K image quality and smart TV functionality. As part of its 60th Anniversary Sale, Best Buy is offering the 55" TCL S-Series 4K Roku TV for just $199.99 with free delivery. That's about the lowest price I'd expect for a current generation (2026) TV of this size.
55" TCL 4K Roku TV for Just $199.99
This entry level 2026 TCL TV offers a standard set of features in exchange for a rock bottom price. What you're getting is a native 4K TV that offers solid image quality with direct-lit LED backlighting, HDR10 support, and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. What sets this TV apart from others is the Roku smart interface, which is considered one of the best built-in smart interfaces you can get from a budget TV. It's definitely a favorite of mine; I prefer it over Google TV and Fire TV.
The TCL S-Series TV Pairs Well With the Nintendo Switch 2
This TV is actually a great choice to pair with the Switch 2. When in docked mode, the new Switch 2 is able to run games at 4K resolution, however only at a maximum of 60fps. That means you only need a 60Hz refresh rate to maximize the Switch 2's 4K potential, which this TV supports. You shouldn't exclude this TV from consideration for console-based gaming either; most PlayStation 5 games won't run at over 60fps even in Performance mode.
