Here's a chance to pick up a good deal (relative to today's market) on a high-speed portable SSD from a reputable brand. Ahead of Black Friday, Amazon is offering the latest generation SanDisk 1TB Portable SSD for $159.99 with free shipping. Yes, I am fully aware of the fact that this same drive would have been considerably less expensive a couple of years ago. If you haven't already noticed, times have changed.
28% Off SanDisk 1TB Portable SSD (Up to 1,000MB/s)
The SanDisk portable SSD is much smaller than your typical external hard drive, measuring only 1.77" wide, 3.35" long, and just 0.39" thick. It's small enough to be pocketable and even comes with an integated keychain loop. The chassis is rated drop-proof up to 2 meters and SSDs are inherently more durable than magnetic drives because they have no moving parts.
This is a fast drive with read speeds of up to 1,000MB/s when connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on your PC or laptop. It's also completely powered off the USB cable so there's no need to bring along a power brick. The drive is plug and play with no software needed, and a USB-C cable is provided in the package. Finally, a respectable 3 year warranty is included.
