OLED TVs are considered the best TVs for gaming. They're usually quite expensive, but Amazon is offering a fantastic deal on a Roku branded OLED TV ahead of Prime Day. For a limited time, the 65" Roku Pro-series 4K OLED smart TV is available for $799.99 with free shipping after you apply coupon code "ROKUOLED400" during checkout. Alternatively, the 55" Roku Pro-series model is $699.99 after coupon code "ROKUOLED300". Note, if you apply the code and you see that it wasn't applied, simply refresh the checkout page. The Roku Pro-series OLED TV was released earlier this month. It's equipped with a 4K true W-OLED panel with a native 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 inputs, making it an excellent TV for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console gaming. Although the Roku Pro isn't as expensive as other OLED TVs, it shares most of the advantages of its more expensive siblings, including the near instaneous response time, true black levels, near infinite contrast ratio, and ultra-wide viewing angles. It also has one nice feature that the rest don't have, and that's the Roku smart interface baked in.
Roku is the best built-in smart interface
I've tried every built-in smart interface extensively, and I consider Roku to be the best smart interface overall compared to other popular options like Google TV (Sony), Tizen (Samsung), WebOS (LG), or Fire TV (Panasonic). The Roku interface is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, light on resources, and most importantly for me, it doesn't require you to commit to an ecosystem. Roku also has native compatibility with just about every streaming app out there.
Is this a good TV for the Nintendo Switch 2?
Despite being a current generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2 has lax TV requirements compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When the Switch is connected to its dock and a television, it is only capable of outputting a 4K resolution signal at up to 60 frames per second. It can go up to 120fps if the resolution drops to 1080p, but the data rate required for both these options is pretty much the same, and you would much rather play any game in 4K. That said, the Switch 2 will still benefit greatly from the OLED panel's stellar image quality.
