Riftbound’s fifth set, Radiance, is coming up soon, so that means new Legends to play around with before the end of the year. We’re happy to exclusively reveal the base and overnumbered variant for the new legend, Mordekaiser.
Mordekaiser, The Iron Revenant, is another new Legend introduced to Riftbound, and this particular variant showcases his original form alongside the spiritual armored form known from the game. His main ability is to add power that can be recycled for any rune or color when playing a unit or gear, as long as it’s possible to banish or remove-from-game a unit or gear card already in the trash.
Mordekaiser is also a legend of Fury (red) and Order (yellow), so expect some aggressive play with Deathknell littered about. Having the wild power is nice for color fixing if you don’t have the corresponding rune to recycle, but it’s even more handy for using towards the recycle cost of potential quick draw or ambush cards. Maybe we’ll see more of that leading up to the release of Radiance.
Riftbound Radiance’s English release is set for October 23 with pre-release events starting as early as October 16 at your local game stores.
