As I've mentioned in a couple of other articles today, Amazon has recently restocked a whole bunch of rare Pokémon TCG sets for Labor Day, and there are some hot goods up for grabs right now if you're fast enough.
Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection is now available again and in stock at Amazon for $274.99. The listed median price for these is around $310, according to TCGplayer, so at $274.99, you're getting a fairly good price (albeit still well above MSRP).
The market price is a little lower at around $257.54, meaning you could potentially save a few bucks by buying through the resale market on TCGplayer or eBay. Just remember that those prices don't necessarily include delivery, so the gap can narrow pretty quickly.
Amazon is still a solid option if you've got some credit or gift cards burning a hole in your account, or if you'd rather have the peace of mind of buying a brand-new, guaranteed-sealed box directly from a major retailer instead of a third-party seller.
For reference, Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection includes:
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Eevee ex.
- 1 fuzzy Eevee deck box.
- 1 playmat featuring Eevee and its Evolutions.
- 65 card sleeves featuring Eevee and its Evolutions.
- 15 Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions booster packs.
But why is Prismatic Evolutions still so popular for collectors and general players? The Scarlet & Violet set is still monunmentally popular, and goes from strength to strength, pretty much because of its hot card pull potential.
When these sets can potentially bag you a $1500 ultra rare, such as Umbreon ex - 161/131 (the most valuable card from last year) sometimes the high cost is considered worth it. I'm not entirely convinced myself, as after buying more than a few of these, you're halfway there to just buying the pricey card outright anyway.
Still! If you think these will bounce up in value further, you could always pick up one to open, and another to keep as an investment to see how it appreciates in value in the future.
I also want to emphasize that this is "sold and shipped" directly from Amazon itself, and not via any third-party sellers. But is it worth it? That's ultimately up to you. The "market price" is simply what people are currently willing to pay, and that doesn't necessarily mean it's good value. At around $34, this is arguably the best price we've seen for any of the First Partner Illustration Collection sets, but it's still more than double the original $14.99 MSRP.
Unfortunately, finding Pokémon TCG products at MSRP has become increasingly difficult, and market prices are often what collectors are forced to pay, even when buying from major retailers like Amazon.
If you're hunting for more Pokémon TCG restocks, be sure to check out our custom Amazon search tracker. It's a useful way to make sure you're picking up sealed products that are actually "sold and shipped" directly by Amazon, rather than a third-party seller.
As I mentioned, there are a few other notable Pokémon TCG restocks at Amazon right now, including the First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 sets for $34, and Destined Rivals ETBs for $125.
Both the Destined Rivals ETBs and First Partner Collections are also roughly in line with current market prices, so you're not paying a huge premium to pick them up from Amazon right now.
What’s Coming Next for the Pokémon TCG?
2026 is a huge year for Pokémon TCG. The biggest expansion on the horizon is the monumental Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion, launching globally on September 16, 2026.
This is a historic set featuring a simultaneous worldwide release, where every single card is foil, every pack guarantees one of 30 unique Pikachu cards, and we see the debut of the brand-new opalescent "Futuristic Rare" tier featuring Mew and Mewtwo by artist YOSHIROTTEN.
