Popular GTA RP server NoPixel V will release day one on the Rockstar Games Launcher. That’s according to the server’s owner Koil.
Last night, the nopixel team shared the long awaited release date for their fifth iteration of the most popular GTA RP server. We reported on how it will go live on September 8th along with a launch trailer and screenshots. However, there wasn’t any initial details on the highly awaited integration with the Rockstar Games Launcher.
That has since changed with a message from the RP server’s owner and lead developer Koil. In an announcement on the official NoPixel discord as spotted by Tex2, he said that “On September 8, nopixel V will be available in Closed Beta to select participants on the Rockstar Games Launcher. This is a big step for the Grand Theft Auto Roleplay community, and it took a full rebuild of nopixel to get here.”
He went onto say that “Invites to nopixel V will roll out in phases. While the first phase of invites is nearly complete, it’s just the first group. If you haven’t received an invite yet, you haven’t been ruled out. Over time, access will expand, including more phases of invites.” Updates on the phase roll out will be provided in the Discord server.
The thinking behind this is to “reset” the nopixel whitelist. This also has no impact on nopixel Public and nopixel 4.0. Koil says both servers will remain active and supported.
This news has been met with disappointment from fans. There was an expectation from potential players the server would open up due to the inclusion on the Rockstar Games Launcher. At least for the forseeable future, it will be invite only.
