Here’s how you can get GTA 6 for just 5p a day. Seriously. Yet another company is trying to get in on the GTA 6 hype with a no interest long-term loan to pay for the game. We’ve already had stores offering free copies if you have a baby among other stunts and this one just adds to the long list.
British broadband and mobile network providers Virgin Media and O2 have announced a GTA 6 monthly payment plan (h/t Insider Gaming). This is what the world has come to. Monthly repayments of a video game’s standard edition.
In a press release, the internet service provider reveal that they are “helping fan secure the copy [of Grand Theft Auto VI] for less than five pennies a day. Anyone who takes up this offer will get the Vintage Vice City Pack and receive their copy in time for launch day, November 19th.
To start with gamers must pay £20 upfront. From then, there will be a monthly payment of £1.39 for 36 months. O2 state that this is 4.6 pence per day. There is 0% interest on the repayment. You can choose a minimum of 3 months to pay it back which is £16.66 a month. This offer is available to both existing non-O2 eligible customers.
For everyone reading, do not do this. Even though it is interest free, it’s still predatory. The game will cost less than £69.99 interest a few months time. In 3 years time when this loan ends it will also cost a lot less. Amazon are charging £2.04 less for the game…that’s more than a month less of repayment!
