Los Angeles Comic-Con is almost here, and IGN is teaming up with Toyota for a special booth where attendees can hang out and play games together. There will be a stage show with AEW wrestler Kofi, gaming stations, a Toyota vehicle, photo opps, merch giveaways, and more.
This is part of Toyota’s campaign aimed at bringing people together in real life to enjoy the things they love. It’ll be tough to miss the booth, since it’s 40’ x 50’ and features a Toyota Grand Highlander.
There will be a lounge area with a couch, big-screen TV, and space for up to four people to play together. We’ll also have standing gaming stations, as well as Nintendo Switch 2 systems where you can play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate inside a custom-wrapped Grand Highlander.
Playing Super Smash Bros. is more than just enjoying some fun gameplay, it’s also a tryout for a stage show we’ll be hosting at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30. We’ll pick Comic-Con guests to form multiple squads to face off against Kofi and his crew. Anyone with a Comic-Con pass is welcome to come see the show and find out who emerges victorious.
In the leadup to LA Comic-Con, we’ll have more content with Kofi that you won’t want to miss. We’ll pick him up in our custom Grand Highlander and get to know him during our road trip to the LA Convention Center.
Once we reach our destination, we’ll transform the Grand Highlander into our Mobile Gaming Studio and pit Kofi’s team against squads of Comic-Con guests in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch 2. Will Kofi come out on top? Or will he get pinned by the competition? You’ll have to watch to find out.
On top of all that, you can drop by the booth to get photos at our step-and-repeat, as well as item giveaways that won’t be available anywhere else. The booth will last through LA Comic-Con, from October 30–November 1, so stop by and say hi.
