As more GTA 6 gameplay leaks have surfaced online, Take-Two and Rockstar are working to hunt down the leaker behind everything. Just earlier today they shared a lengthy clip of super car driving in Vice City stunning fans. There are seemingly more gameplay leaks to come but now this has become a legal chase.

As first spotted by Kotaku, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive have filed several subpoenas at the federal district court level. This is to gather details on who exactly has caused this to happen.

The Southern District Court of New York has been sent a filing that requests both Microsoft and Discord share information in relation to the case. That is because the suspected leaker(s) have involved XBOX and Discord accounts in this leaking situation.

“The copyrighted material includes but is not limited to audiovisual content, artwork, images, dialogue, or other creative elements. Take-Two, through its counsel of record, has submitted a sworn declaration confirming that the purpose for which the DMCA subpoena is sought is to obtain the identity of an alleged infringer or infringers, and that such information will only be used for the purpose of protecting Take-Two’s rights…”

According to the filing, Microsoft has until September 4th, so two weeks, to provide Take-Two with “all internal Microsoft business records and investigative records associated with Microsoft’s internal investigation of the ‘cyberleek’ persona. The details shared by XBOX and Microsoft must be “sufficient to identify the user(s), person(s) and/or entity/ies associated with that persona”.

As for Discord, Take-Two Interactive say the company has until the same to show them all possible information that can identify the person(s) and listed a number of Discord servers and user names they were in.

All identifying information associated with all user accounts that are/were members communicating with the Discord server(s) listed below during the time period from June 1, 2026 to present; and for those accounts, provide any associated device/telemetry records where one or more of the tool/file artifacts below were present on the system. For each returned account, provide: the account ID, registration email, registration and last-login IP addresses, phone number, linked connections (Google/Xbox/etc.), any associated device identifiers (MachineGuid/MSA), and content related to Grand Theft Auto (‘GTA’), Rockstar or Cyberleek from their OneDrive account.

The Discord users and servers listed are:

    ™
  • cyberleek_west
  • surwest
  • Ødyssey.gg
  • ! Odyssey – discord.gg/odyssey
  • DarkViperAU editors – discord.gg/darkviperau

YouTuber DarkViper has responded to the situation. “I don’t know anything. That isn’t my editors discord. There aren’t even any clips of the leaks in either of my Discords” he wrote on Twitter. The content creator speculates the leaker joined his Discord after he said “he (Cyberleek) can’t drive multiple times. The leaker went onto write “Cyberleek can’t drive” on the latest video clip.

This saga is far from over. Stay tuned for more updates.
