EG7 has officially completed its previously announced acquisition of Cold Iron Studios, a headline that might be confusing if you’re familiar with the history of either company. I say that because astute viewers may remember seeing Daybreak Game Company purchased Cold Iron Studios back in 2020 and then summarily and very quietly sold it off in 2021 while attempting to rewrite history and wipe any reference to the acquisition from their press releases.
All Cold Iron staff and licenses will transfer to Daybreak Game Company with some assets staying under Cold Iron’s stewardship. Hopefully the acquisition sticks this time and we’re not reporting about EG7 scrubbing the internet of evidence again in six months.
