Just want to do an enthusiastic PC Gamer shout out to Villager97liam on the cyberpunkgame subreddit. They painstakingly recreated one of the dystopic foods of R. Talsorian Games' grim future: kibble and locust pizza.
The nasty, processed treats I found strewn across Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 were always one of my favorite bits of worldbuilding, and Villager97liam went to painstaking lengths to approximate one of the most stomach-roiling in our own, slightly less dark future: Dehydrated locusts ordered online, an Aldi frozen pie, and homemade tofu-kombu-plankton "kibble."
"I brought it to my friend's and my Cyberpunk Red game, and they hated it, as did I!"
I love when people do little 4D experiential touches for their tabletop games—tea-soaked and singed "parchment" maps, physical coins, incense, music, silly voices—but homemade kibble and locust pizza is a new all-time champion in my book.
